Our Story

Our story begins in 2002, when Don Chuy crafted his own carnitas recipe. Born and raised in Michoacán, Mexico, he was familiar with the cooking and preparation of the state’s famous dish. Family and friends loved Don Chuy’s carnitas and suggested he start catering for special events. With the help of his wife, he began catering on weekends as a side job while managing his own landscaping company on weekdays. As the word spread, Don Chuy built his clientele. In 2013, after many years of hard work, he finally opened his restaurant, Carnitas Don Chuy. We are a small family-owned and operated business and are proud of our humble beginnings. We strive to bring everyone excellent food and service. To all our loyal and long-time customers, thank you!
